Los Suenos - Saltwater Fishing Report
The Marlin & Sailfish are biting in Costa Rica's Fishing Capital at Los Suneos Resort & Marina and Jaco Beach.
While fish don't always seem to follow a calendar, we usually start to see the beginning of our annual Marlin Migaration here in late November. This year they have shown up early, and the Hooked on Costa Rica boats have been rewarding their lucky clients with some very nice Black, Blue and Striped Marlin since the first week of November.
The Marlin bite keeps getting stronger every day, and will likely stay strong through late Jnauary an early February, which carries us well into our Peak Sailfish season!
Our Los Suneos X-Treme Billfish Team boat , the 36' Glasstech the "Bethina", with Capt. Glen DellaBovi and his X-treme team mates Min and Russ, fished several Hooked On Costa Rica guests this week, bringing them several huge Sailfish, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin and monster sized Mahi Mahi!
Capt. Dave aboard our 31' Irvin Forbes the "Miss Behavin", had a Grand Slam this past Tuesday with a Black and Blue Marlin and 2 Sailfish released!
Los Suenos continues to hold it's title as the Fishing Capital of Costa Rica, with more trophy fish caught out of there year round, than ANY other destination in Costa Rica. Los Suenos Fishing Forecast:
Continued strong Marlin bite through late February and phenominal Sailfishing from December through May.
It looks like it will be another great season of trophy fishing out of Los Suenos.
