Tarpon & Snook activity continues at Rio Colorado Lodge

Rio Colorado - Saltwater Fishing Report

Last week the weather was rainy, and the temperature dropped considerably for the jungles of Costa Rica. The water levels rose causing the fishing to be a bit slow. The fish were there, just not hungry for our baits since they had new territory to feed from! The weather has improved, and the fish are back biting.

Early in January we had anglers from Finland visit. They had a great time, catching tarpon, snook, jack crevale as well as other species in the area.

The Rio Colorado Lodge is remotely located on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, nestled in Costa Rica's ropical jungle where the Colorado River flows into the Caribbean Sea.  Here you'll experience the world's best tarpon and snook fishing as well as a multitude of light tackle game fish.
