Ecuador report

Capt. Luis Gomez

Manta - Saltwater Fishing Report

We are now in the final days of the Manta season with solid Marlin numbers, even though the Salinas season has started already.

This weekend, the bite was strong with two boats out counting 3 Striped Marlin releases and 1 Blue Marlin release (around 300lbs) . The northwest bank is ready to greet us for what we expect to be the last days of excellent fishing in Manta until mid 2009. We still see fishing in Manta but not in the spectacular numbers we get during the second half of the year.

After this, we are off to Salinas by New Year´s Eve for the new season with plenty of Black and Blue Marlin ready to greet us and make the most our of our time.

Buena pesca amigos
