Inshore/nearshore report Jacksonville area waters - It seems the winter might finally be over. The water temp at the jetties yesterday was almost 68 degrees. Anna Maria hot bite - We just started getting live shiners this past week. The bite has been red hot. If you want to catch big mackerel and bluefish hit the reefs in the bay. April is a great time for gulf fishing - March was windy and wet so I'm betting that April will be sunny and sunny. Did I say sunny twice? While in the Marco area I did notice some Snook in the dock lights at night and saw a few on the oyser bars. The is plenty of bait, this is all good for the lower Everglades, (Flamingo) because everything trickles down
