Bay waters fishing is superb

Capt. Tom Chaya
September 26, 2014
Anna Maria - Saltwater Fishing Report

Redfish are very active over the last few weeks. All oyster bars and sandbars should be targeted. Most trips are averaging 20-40 reds on the better tides. We have to move around for nice trout. There are pockets of nice keeper sized trout in grassy areas in 3-6 feet. Move away from the smaller trout rallies. Snook are making a good showing as the water cooled to the low 80's. Plenty of bigger fish near the passes but plenty of action in the bays. Spanish mackerel are better in the bay reefs and around the bait at the bridges. The first cold fronts should bring them toward the beaches along with Kingfish

Anna Maria Fishing Forecast:

October action should be excellent for reds, snook, trout. Get rigged for kings.

Target Species:

Kingfish Reds trout snook
