Anna Maria - Saltwater Fishing Report

The last couple of weeks redfish have been on fire. My poor popping corks have really taken a beating almost everyone has teeth marks. Sometimes I think putting a hook at the bottom of the float would catch more fish then the bait. On the better days when the bite is on everyone on the boat will have a fish on. It really makes things interesting trying to keep lines straight.

Mangrove snapper are starting to show a whole lot better now that the hatch bait is finally in full swing. We caught a nice limit of snapper at the skyway this past Thursday.

Catch and release snook fishing is still good on the stronger parts of the tides. No really big fish but a few that would have made the slot around thirty two inches.

Spanish mackerl are in good numbers around the markers in Tampa Bay and all the big passes to the gulf.
