Redfish showing up

Capt. Rick Gross
June 13, 2011
Anna Maria - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tarpon are still the buzz around Anna Maria. You do not have to travel far to get on fish. Shinners, crabs and threadfins are all working great. Most fish are running from eighty pounds to one hundred and twenty with a few over one fifty crashing the party.

Redfish are starting to gather up in better schools. And for a change they are bitting better also. Each school has a different size class of fish. One school in sarasota bay will all run over the slot from twenty nine inches to thirty three inches while another falls in the slot from twenty to twenty six inches.

Trout fishing is still dependable but the fish tend to be in deeper water.

Good Fishing!

Capt. Rick Gross
