Capt. Rick Gross

Anna Maria - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tarpon have slowed down some which was expected because of the early spring we had this year.

Catch & release snook fishing is off the charts. A lot of smaller males from 20 to 25 inches with a few good size sow's up in the high 30 inch range. It just dosn't get any better than tying into a good snook on light tackle and hearing that drag scream.

Redfish have shown up better for me just in the last week or so mostly on the top of the outgoing tides.

The reefs are holding more big flounder than I have seen in a long time.

Trout are still a go to fish for me when nothing else is working and I want to bend the rod.

Good Fishing!
