Anna Maria - Saltwater Fishing Report

A drop in water temps have given the kings their first good push. Big shiners fished from 30 to 60 feet have been productive. Large mackerel are hitting around bait schools in the shipping channel and artificial reefs. Flounder have been on the move around all the reefs and rock piles throughout the area. In the bays snook have come on strong over the last month. Plenty of snook in the 26 inch range have been released. Some big 40 plus inch fish have provided good action. Reds have been spotty over the last few weeks and best time for themare on the biggest high tides. Trout are showing a bit better size and more of the keeper sized will increase as the water cools. Mangorove snapper has been good around the hard bottom at the bridges in the area.

Anna Maria Fishing Forecast:

Look for kingfish schooling thru December
