Biscayne Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report
Today started off much the same as it ended storms, strong SW winds and more storms. Catching the beginning of the outgoing tide made it a bit difficult as we had poor visibility, strong winds and storms building over the entire west side of the bay and moving east. High water under these conditions makes spotting bonefish difficult but we pressed on. Not long into our morning we had to make a mad dash for some cover as we waited out a nasty rain storm. Once the storm passed we had lower water and started getting into tailing and waking bones. A well placed cast did not go unnoticed by a nice tailing bone and he swam right up to it and as he was about to eat, a premature hook set sent him racing for the horizon. With some improving visibility we made a move to some lighter colored and deeper bottom and released our first bone of the day. Moving to another area proved to be the final move of the day as more storms sent us running for cover again. After waiting about an hour for the rain to pass we decided to call it a day and slip between two storms in order to get back to the ramp safely. Until next time.
Call me if you want to book and trip and remember, have fun out there!
