looks like "Fay" will pay us a visit.

Boca Grande - Saltwater Fishing Report

8-17-08 report

Fishing takes a back seat to weather.

Last week it was rain and wind but this week it gets serious. We were not able to match clients and conditions last week so I stayed busy with home projects. This week "Fay" is expected to visit and she could be a big problem. Hurricanes do help flush our waters and provide rains to fill rivers and lakes but it stirs everything up too. We'll just have to see what comes and figure out how to cope. Beach erosion will be one problem let's pray that we don't loss many homes. Fishing will be great after it settles down so if you are ok give it a try. Let's Go Fishin' soon; but stay safe now! Captain Van Hubbard

Boca Grande Fishing Forecast:

expect great fishing after the storm blows thru.

Target Species:

snook, redfish and more
