Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor

Capt. Van Hubbard
March 14, 2007
Boca Grande - Saltwater Fishing Report

Let's Go Fishin', it's time.

Spring fishing is almost here.

Baitfish minnows are cruising into our area and the mackerel are pushing em. We are getting some nice pompano and sheepshead are peaking now. Snook are starting to move and water temps are hitting seventy; seventy-five is the number I’m looking for, it should be there late next week. We are expecting a mild cooler front this weekend which will slow things a little. We really do not want it to get hot too fast because it would push fish along faster. This is short but I’m off to catch some folks a mess of fish for dinner but want to let you know it’s time to go fishin’. Captain Van Hubbard
