Winter fly fishing for Snook and Redfish

Capt. Austin Lowder
February 18, 2009
Boca Grande - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing has been quite good lately. Yesterday we caught 7 redfish up to 28 inches and 4 Snook up to 30 inches. Over president's day weekend I had two very good flyfisherman land 30 Snook on Saturday. The fog came out and the fish were biting. The water temperatures are fluctuating alot lately with very warm days and approaching cold fronts. When the water temperatures are above 70 the Snook are biting well. Happy fishing and tightlines!!
