Boynton Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

During the past week I have fished a couple inshore charters and a couple offshore charters. Last Sunday we went trolling 2 miles offshore Boynton Inlet and landed a 30 lb wahoo, 1 sailfish release, and 3 bonito. ee were using artificial lure/ natural bait combinations. The next trip was an inshore trip hunting tarpon on the intracoastal waterway near Ocean Ridge. We spotted several 20-30 lb tarpon but we couldn't get them to eat a live bait. My anglers still had a blast reeling in snapper after snapper while we soaked our tarpon baits at the same time. During the next charter on Tuesday, we once again went tarpon hunting, this time in Highland Beach and Boca Raton. We never saw a tarpon, but my clients had a blast reeling in a couple 10 lb jacks and a small barracuda. The next trip was a trolling charter out in the ocean on Wenesday. We caught 3 tuna up to 15 lbs and a few small bonito while trolling artificial lure skirts and bonito strips. The tunas we biting 3 miles East of Boynton Inlet. I have a few trips coming up and I will update the report next week.
