Florida Fishing Fun

Capt. Russ Walker
October 21, 2019
Cape Coral - Saltwater Fishing Report

Experience Year-Round Fishing Fun in the Florida Sun
Our beautiful state of Florida is one of a kind in America providing year-round outdoor activities. Not only is the weather temperate and enjoyable, the fishing is great year-round too.

Springtime brings the mighty Tarpon back to us each year starting in April. Unbeatable excitement is experienced with every leap of the Silver King. Sea Turtles and Dolphins are frequently seen in many areas in the inter-coastal.
Summer outings are filled with encounters of local species like Speckled Trout, Jack Crevalle, sharks and the Bluefish. Let's not forget the endless fight of the Ladyfish with their incredible aerial leaps and displays that thrill us all. What a great time of year to have the Kids and Grandkids down to experience all the fun of Florida fishing.

Fall is just around the corner now and many new species of fish will find their way back to our beautiful local waters and islands. They will call our area home for that very special time of year we call "Season". October will bring in the big fighters like Sheepshead and Bull Reds. The 60/70-degree nights of November and December will gift us with cool breezes and wonderful days to be on the water.

It's funny, at Christmas time I sometimes find myself singing that cherished old Fisherman's Hymn.:" I'll Filet for You Par Rum Pum Pum Pum… this Black Drum". You know that one, don't you?

Florida winters are filled with 70 / 75-degree days which make for wonderful times on the water with the family.

Whether it's Inshore or Offshore there's an endless array of fish species to fish for. Regardless of your interest or skill level, the water is a great place to be. Wildlife abounds as well. Hundreds of birds' species congregate here for winter. Whatever your interest is I know you'll be amazed.

Our local guides have knowledge of where the best fishing is at any given time of the year and it seems as though it's all good. One Captain claims that "Every Trip is an Adventure" and you know what. I have to agree with him.
So, Let's Go Fishing.
We''ll See You Soon.
