Cape Coral - Saltwater Fishing Report

We caught over 90 fish today including 15 super nice Mackerels. A great day out with Jay and Michael from Virginia. Inside Pine Island sound, Captiva bay, yet west of marker 54, the water is translucent green to turquoise blue and the grass flats are clearly visible. A hit every cast when we throw to the color change of the flat. A popping cork, 3- 4' mono leader 3 ought Eagle claw offset hook with live shrimp. Predator fish run up and down the channel break on the grassy edges. Winds at 5 mph. What a day to be on the water. Here's a shot at the crack of Dawn on my way to the island of North Captiva to pick up my sportsmen of the day. and a pic of some of the catch. Tons of catch and release Sea Trout too.
