January has been a very busy month thus far and the weather has been fairly cooperative. We have had a lot more warm days than cold days and that is what I always hope for this time of year. I have had the opportunity to fish with a lot of familiar faces over the last few weeks and my phone and emails have been steady with requests coming in for early bookings for this upcoming season. I do appreciate all of you booking your trips in advance.

Redfish, trout, and flounder have been the targeted species on my recent trips. The larger redfish are beginning to form into groups and will continue to do so over the next couple months. We have been catching a good amount of upperslot and overslot redfish with a ton of smaller "rat reds" as well.

Trout continue to be a focus on my charters due to their season opening up on January 1st. We have been limiting out on nice trout everyday for those looking to take some fresh fish home for dinner. There are plenty of gator trout around right now as well. I have had a dozen fish over the last couple weeks measure out over 24".
Believe it or not, I have actually been able to TARGET flounder on my charters. I have a few areas where they are very congregated right now and we have been catching close to a dozen flounder a trip while trout fishing.

I hope this report finds everyone doing well and I look forward to fishing with you soon.
Also, if you are a first time client and book a charter with me, you will receive an additional hour of fishing free. Make sure to mention this report!
