Clearwater - Saltwater Fishing Report
Captain John Fischbach of Absolute Florida Flats fishing based out of Tarpon Springs, a long time Guide Service running fishing charters on West Central Florida's Gulf Coast providing Inshore fishing, Flats fishing, Nearshore fishing and Offshore fishing and Deep Sea fishing in Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, Palm Harbor, Dunedin , Tampa Bay and clearwater reports that all saltwater fishing is great!!!. Live bait fishing with pilchards and threadfin herring have been producing great catches. Excellent Tarpon Fishing for the giant Silver King is available and the Tarpon are in mid-spawn mode, meaning the saturated females have laid their eggs and the males have fertilized them. the BITE IS ON!!! The healthiest and most active fish are burning the drags on my reels!!!. Fishing is great it really fires the fish up with cool downs and warm ups. The lack of rain that we have had has come to an end. Other catches includes Spanish mackerel, inshore kingfish, flounder and jack crevalle along with very healthy mangrove snapper. Shark fishing has been EXCELLENT! lots of family fun ad team bonding occurs while aboard the Sportsman (24' avenge or Double Trouble (33' Contender) both boats that I Run. An addition to my fleet is Vapor! a 2016 Micro Draft tunnel hull boat that runs in vapor!!! With a length of 20' and beam (width) of 10' she is fully equipped to run deep in the back country on out to the barrier islands. from stalking the spookiest redfish to flying the biggest Tarpon that migrate through our area, this boat is built to catch. She's fully rigged tournament style- Riptide trolling motor, silent four stroke outboard motor mounted to an extra high vertical hydraulic jack plate and equipped with a half tower to be able to spot fish without letting the fish see us!!!45 gallon livewell to hold lots of bait for live chumming. this really allows us to get the fish FIRED UP IN THE Back Country for a fishing trip of a lifetime!
