Daytona Beach Bass Fishing Guide Report

Capt. Ed Bussard
May 20, 2014
Daytona Beach - Freshwater Fishing Report

Bass fishing here on the St Johns River is the best you could ask for at this time. My clients have been having days with over 50 fish being caught and most days there are a few fish to 8.5 being caught. Main river shell beds are working very well and a topwater bait is hard to beat the first couple hours of the morning. Later is the day a C Rigged worm has also done well for my clients. Pro Golfer Mark Blakefield joined me for 6 hr trip and well over 50 fish were boated the following day CJ from KY joined me and again no less then 50 fish were caught. The next day Mark Blakefield joined me again along with his dad for a short 4 hr trip and I honestly couldn't keep count but many many fish were caught. The St Johns River is only minutes from Daytona Beach.
