Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

It has been a great run of beautiful weather since my last report. The Amberines ( lesser jacks) are still hot any day you can get out to 'em and the Vermilion snappers just keep on coming. We have limited out on our 10 fish per person on a bunch of trips, The BIG news is the BIG Kings....They are here ! Now there are not a bunch of "regulars" around but the ones that are all qualify as "Smokers" ! Here's some pics from the past week.

This was a 3 hr afternoon trip.. I picked the folks up and saw a big school of Jacks right on the bar. We followed the school for 6 miles, getting 5 fish to the boat in the 20-30# range and pulling several more off. Then went on to catch a bunch of snapper !

These guys always just book a 2 hr... and catch a pile of fish !

Todays 5 hr trip.... Full house ! Pair of BIG Kings and a limit of jacks !

I don't know how long they will stay around but this is the most Kings over 40# I think I have ever caught in one week........ When one of those big ole smokers crashes a bait on the surface sometimes I get more excited than the angler I think.......

Get out there and hook something !

More Fishing Reports:

Gulf Fishing off Grayton Beach in beautiful South Walton. Red Snapper to Cobia to King Mackeral to Grouper. No need to get up early or drive for an hour to a marina. We will pick you up on the beach and be on a reef or wreck in usually less than 15 minutes. Some of the Gulfs best fishing lies just offshore of the snow white sands of South Walton. We also offer Tarpon trips at Indian Pass during the summer run. July and August have large schools of giant Silver Kings feeding just off the beach.
