Rain, Rain, Go Away!!

Capt. Josh Anderson
May 15, 2014
Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

Heavy spring rains continue to muddy most of the waters along the Panhandle. However, that hasn't stopped us from picking up our share of fish recently. For most areas of Choctawhatchee Bay, Santa Rosa Sound, and St. Andrews Bay the key right now to successful gigging or bow fishing action is to use the tide and wind to help find cleaner water. With Spring giving way to Summer in the next few weeks we should see bay waters clean up to some degree. The muddy water hasn't seemed to affect the fish whatsoever and fish have been in their normal spring routines.

Target Species:

Flounder, Mullet, Sheepshead, Rays, Black Drum
