Snappers We Can Keep

Capt. Larry Pentel
March 30, 2012
Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

I have been steady running bottom trips everyday it's pretty. The cobias are here but the weather has kept me on the hill the days I have had trips scheduled to chase 'em. Oh well, we are filling up the board (and box) with Snappers we get to keep. The Vermillion Snappers have moved in with a good grade of fish as well as big numbers. My folks have been landing around 20 to 40 of the tasty bright red snappers a trip as well as a few Triggers and lots of Pinks. The Red Snappers are as thick as ever, we are even catching a few nice size everyday on tiny pieces of cut bait aimed at the Vermillions. Rather than ramble on I'll post a few pics from the past week.

More Fishing Reports:

Gulf Fishing off Grayton Beach in beautiful South Walton. Red Snapper to Cobia to King Mackeral to Grouper. No need to get up early or drive for an hour to a marina. We will pick you up on the beach and be on a reef or wreck in usually less than 15 minutes. Some of the Gulfs best fishing lies just offshore of the snow white sands of South Walton. We also offer Tarpon trips at Indian Pass during the summer run. July and August have large schools of giant Silver Kings feeding just off the beach.
