Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today's full day charter (8 hrs) gave me and my clients the opportunity to fish as far North as "Hell Peckney bay" and as far south as the Imperial River.
Hell Peckney has gorgeous, gin-clear water and should be taken advantage of. The back bay produced a solid snook bite. Chumming the snook up and pitching white baits produced the best bite.
Hendry creek has some solid redfish but are picky when it comes to feeding time. The tide has to be right, as well as the time of day. Free lined shrimp or a jighead with a gulp will work best.
The mouth of the Estero River has a good snook bite as well, using the same method of chumming and pitching white bait.
The Imperial river had the best quality snook. BIG whitebaits are a must for these females and chumming them up to the top is crucial. Be patient and wait for the strike.
Remember to have fun fishing and enjoy the beautiful weather here in Southwest Florida! Best of luck.
