Estero Bay: Redfish & Snook

Capt. Joe Angius
November 23, 2014
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Yesterday was definitely difficult fishing due to the wind. Despite the weather conditions, we managed to land a few reasonable sized redfish and snook.

Free lined shrimp on a 3/0 hook worked best. Bait was difficult to catch in the bay but the white bait that I caught turned the snook bite on. At the first spot we fished we landed snapper, lady fish, a small black grouper, and a jack. Sheepshead are out but you need to downsize your hook and bait. Either a jig head or 1/0 hook tipped with shrimp or crab will work best.
