Estero Bay: Redfish - Snook - Mackerel

Capt. Joe Angius
November 15, 2015
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The day before a front comes through, the fishing is typically the best. My three clients and I had the chance to experience this amazing bite during their half day charter.

Bait was easy, plentiful, and BIG. Pilchards can be found along the beaches, near the passes, and on the grass flats. My bait of choice would be a large pilchard free lined or a medium sized pinfish.

Redfish are along mangrove edges and oyster bars feeding on shrimp, pilchards, and pinfish. Snook can not resist a large pilchard.

After this front lays down, along with the wind, the fishing will pick back up. Tarpon are a great fish to target during weather like this, along with snook.

Book your trip today and experience this top notch fishing!
