March madness

Capt. Greg Stamper
March 9, 2018
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well its been a good few weeks minus the last few days, as we mousy our way through March. Redfish are starting to show up and the size of them has been upper and over slot. Strangely I haven't seen any rat reds at all this year, not sure there's a reason for that, but its strange. Snook are starting to venture out and about on the beaches , back-bays, and wrecks. Most of the beach fish are the smaller males, but a few nice ones have been caught as well. White baits the number one bait for them and there is plenty of that when the wind isn't blowing. Trout and pompano bites have been good one day, not so much the next. However the lower flats around Sanibel have had plenty. Tarpon are showing up, not in big numbers yet but, a few people have caught them, minus me. I'll wait for the nice calm days and go then. Tight lines Capt. Greg Stamper 239-313-1764
