Capt. Greg Stamper
August 16, 2017
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well it's still hot out mid day and it's best to get out early in the morning or late in the afternoon to beat the heat. Fishing during these times has been productive most of the days. It seems the best morning bites have been when its rained the previous evening. Vise-versa when anglers got out after the storms it's also been good. Redfish have been around with upper slot fish being caught on both live pilchards and cut-bait. Snook fishings been good with lots of 18"-25" fish being caught both along the beaches and in the back bay. Trout slowed down a bit for me this past week, with the previous week being very good. Our typical mix of pompano, mackerel, ladys, and some bluefish round out some of the options we have. Tight lines Capt Greg Stamper
