Tarpon and snook

Capt. Greg Stamper
June 12, 2018
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well its been a busy few weeks with a bit of everything. Tarpon both big and juvenile have been plentiful in both the back-country and local beaches. Some days they are eating and some days they won't, but you'll get to see them for sure. We've managed a few big boy tarpon this past 2 weeks and 15 of the small ones, so i'll take that. Snook are pushing out along all the beaches and if you find the bait, the snook wont be far behind. Most of these fish are between 18-25 inches with a few bigger ones here and there. Trout, pompano, and jacks continue to be found, yet less consistent than it had been. Don't know what happened to the permit this week, I must have been at the right places at the wrong time I'd recon. We'll there's always this coming week Tight lines, Capt Greg Stamper
