Capt. Greg Stamper

Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

So we've had some awesome times over the last few weeks. Fishing has been great most of the days, with a few weak fronts stunting it here and there. There's been a bunch of bait available if you need it at times is'ts been so thick I'll throw once and be good for two days. Snook fishing has been excellent both inshore where most are 20 to 27 inches, and as usual the nearshore fish have been of the over-slot variety. Daily catches for me on 5 trips solely looking for snook have been 18, 15, 12, 23, and 8 respectively. We've also seen a bunch of changes as the cooler water from up North brings schools of fish from above us. Bonita up to 15lbs, mackerel of both the Spanish and king variety, bluefish, cobia, and of-course tripletail. are showing up in full force. Redfishing for me personally has been average, but everyone left and right of me seems to benefiting from me chumming up the water, so perhaps I need to be more patient instead of moving around constantly. Tight lines Capt Greg
