Everglades Report

Capt. Jason Sullivan
April 2, 2014
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

One of the many reasons I love fishing the Everglades so much is because of the diversity of the fishery. This week definitely showed us how diverse it can be. We had some calm days, which had us out on the flats with redfish, snook, trout, tarpon, and sharks. The days we had to get out of the wind, we ventured deep into the backcountry. We found lots of snook, largemouth bass, and a few tarpon, which were all willing to eat a well placed fly or jig. Nothing better than blind casting to a mangrove shoreline and watching a snook destroy a topwater fly!
