Everglades Report

Capt. Jason Sullivan
December 10, 2014
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have been out fishing most days over the past few weeks. This time of year you just never know what to expect as far as the weather goes. The water temps go up and down daily. We have had some days where the wind was clam and the next day gusting up to 30 mph. With that being said, the beauty of the Everglades, is there is always a place to hide.

Fishing still remains good with some days better than others. This time of the year, we also get to fish some very remote places. These places the water is almost all fresh and you don't see another human all day long.

Sight fishing for redfish and big laid up snook in the backcountry is about to get really good with the cold front that we just had. This cold weather will push them into the backcountry lakes and ponds and that style of fishing is very exciting on fly or light tackle.
