Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Happy New Year to everyone and I hope you are all off to a great start! The weather has been pretty warm down here in South Florida so far, which means some pretty good fishing. Some days are better than others, but overall it has been pretty consistent. The winter tarpon showed up, and we had a few days where we hooked a bunch of fish in the 130lb class.
With it being so warm, the sight fishing up on flats has been really good. We have had lots of shots on tailers and a few shots on some laid up snook. This type of fishing definitely is the most exciting way to target these species. The snook fishing underneath the mangroves in the backcountry seems to get better everyday.

In my opinion, the best part of fishing the Everglades this time of year is the sunrises. Sometimes it's good to take a few minutes, watch the sunrise, and take in the beauty of the Everglades. It definitely cleanses my soul and if you haven't done so, you need to!!
I have some days open as we move towards the spring, so give me a call to get out on the water.
Tight Lines,
