Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

We are in full mode summer time fishing . We have calm winds almost all day and storms popping up in the afternoons. Some of the best fishing of the year can be had right now, but it is a must to be on the water early. Now that we have those consistent easterly winds, the snook fishing really turned on. Just about every area on the Gulf Coast has bait on it and the snook and redfish are definitely close by. The baby tarpon fishing has been pretty steady and I don't think we have hit the real big push yet.

There has been some certain creeks holding bigger tarpon and we should have a good push of fish moving north from Florida Bay any day now. The 30-50lbers are around and a lot of fun on fly and light tackle. The best part about this time of the year is the fishing is outstanding and you hardly see another boat all day. I don't think there is another place like it!!

Give me a call or email to get out on the water.
All the best,
Capt. Jason Sullivan
