Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report
Well it has been a very interesting March in South Florida. Typically this time of year is full blown tarpon season in the Everglades, but the unseasonal cold fronts keep coming and pushing the fish out of the Everglades. We have had some warm days this month and have had some good tarpon action but very few and far between. Hopefully this will be the last cold front and we can get back to some great tarpon fishing.
The snook fishing has been pretty good on the warmer days in between the fronts. We have found lots of baby tarpon in some of the back bays and it seems like that haven't seen a lure or fly and are very active. They have been lots of fun!
The bass fishing in the Everglades has been red hot all month and should continue with the low water levels. Always fun to catch 50-100 bass in a day.
I only have a few days open in April and a few in May. Give me a call or email to get out on the water. I suspect us to have great rest of the tarpon season after this last front!
