Flamingo Fishing Report

Capt. Jason Sullivan
January 15, 2019
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hope everyone is off to a good year. The fishing in the Everglades has been very good over the last few weeks. There has been a bunch of smaller snook and baby tarpon around, which is a great sign for our future. We did have a few warm days over the last 2 weeks and the big tarpon showed up in major numbers. In between these fronts, if it warms enough and the wind lays down, you could have some great tarpon fishing. This all based around the weather.

Since we have had a relatively dry season, the water levels are low and the bass fishing on the freshwater side of the Everglades has been excellent. It is not uncommon to have 100 fish days on fly and this a great way to get introduced to the fly rod.

Tarpon season is filling up, so give me a call or email to get out on the water.

All the best,

Capt. Jason Sullivan
