Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report
Today was an exception to the last couple of weeks, it was hot and there was not a drop of wind. Atleast for the first
half of the day. We fished out east of flamingo looking for some clean water where there has been finger mullet hanging
around. Sure enough we found the redfish and a few snook moving around. We had a blast sight fishing redfish. Most of
the fish we saw today were moving and pushing wakes and in very shallow, clean water. With the water temp's that have gone down, once that sun starts to heat up the water and it is slick calm expect the fish to move up to some really shallow water to warm up (making for some excellent sightfishing!). Both jerkbait's imitating baitfish and artificials that resemble a live shrimp were working good. We also came up to some shallow shorelines that had a drop off that was holding some bait which also had some snook hanging around, but being very spooky and smart. Soon we tricked a few and had a big one break us off due to frayed leader and some wrapping in the mangroves.
All in all, it was an excellent day! All we need now is a break from this wind and we will be good to go!

Flamingo Fishing Forecast:
Most of the bank's in the gulf(florida bay) and boundary markers are holding good numbers of mackeral and some cobia. With this cold and some wind the shrimp should start to move soon, and they should have predators not far behind.Good Luck!
