Hot Summer Bite

Capt. Armando Alejo
July 8, 2019
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Greetings A2 fans!

We've been on the water a lot over the past two weeks, and the Snook, Tarpon and Tripletail bite remain HOT! We are finding Tarpon in amazing quantities, along with Snook and Tripletail. Over the past 10 charters, we've hooked and landed 10+ Snook in the slot (29-33 inches) along with some over slot, such as the one depicted, Dona's 37 incher!

We've been working with MANY Tarpon as well... We've been on large schools early in each charter but also in the afternoon. George and Dona fished with us the past two days, were we hooked 10, jumped 6 but came up short on landing any :( I was impressed that we were on Tarpon for FOUR hours!

In regard to Triple tail, they too are in Glades in LARGE numbers. We are spotting 20+ each charter, with 15+ good shots at a keeper. Also depicted are Paul and Lyn with their keeper TT. We worked for one for a good 20 minutes, and got them this one... Paul was impressed by the TT's strength and long, hard runs!

About the gear, rigs and baits used.

Tarpon and Snook- Surface and Sub Surface baits along with soft plastics. 40 lb floru leader. 30 lb braided line, IRT 200 Reel paired with a Cajun Savanah series rod.

Triple tail- Fresh, Live or Gulp Shrimp. Sight casting. 40 lb floru leader. 30 lb braided line, IRT 200 Reel paired with a Cajun Savanah series rod.

I have some open spots in July and August, reach out to us today and get in the summer bite!

Capt A2.
