Red hot fishing

Capt. Ariel Cabrera
July 19, 2012
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been red hot despite the weather. We have had predictable rain storms come and go daily very good.

Snook and redfishing has been very good at Flamingo.

Flamingo Fishing Forecast:

Flamingo has seen huge numbers of redfish. We are catching them on jerk baits, Gulps, and most plastic baits. It hasn't been this good in a long time. There have also been some floating tripletail at the incoming tides. Try the same baits you are using for redfish. If they act finicky, make a long cast with a natural shrimp. That should work.
In Biscayne bay permit are making their rounds to the flats. The flats edges and rough points seems to be attracting fish this time of year. We are using live blue crabs and occasional shrimp. The crabs are holding up a lot better and are much easier to cast. They also seem to be responding better to those than other baits.
