Rising Tide Charters Everglades Report

Capt. Jason Sullivan
July 10, 2013
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

The last few trips we have pushed the Maverick HPX to the limit, fishing from outfront of Flamingo to up north near the Broad River. When the wind isn't howling, we were able to get out on the flats and take advantage of some very good fishing. Recently it has been blowing pretty good but that's the beauty of the Glades, always somewhere to hide. Fishing up the coast, we have caught some solid redfish up to 9lbs along with some very respectable snook. While recently poling some shorelines we saw a bunch of large sawfish swimming around and looked up and saw an eagle sitting on a nearby by tree. I can't think of another place in this country you can see that and that's one of the many reasons I love fishing the Everglades.
