Sight Fishing Mayhem

Capt. Steven Tejera
December 1, 2009
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sight fishing has been out of control lately. Redfish and snook have been going nuts during the middle of the day and afternoon when the water warms up. Bonefish on the ocean side and in florida bay have been mudding in deeper water. Late in the afternoon we have been seeing a few fish tailing as well. We have been catching fish on shrimp, artificial and on fly. Deep into Florida Bay we have been throwing Backbone Lures(www.backbonelures.com) skimmer jigs in the 1/4 ounce at redfish and snook having excellent results. It's getting cold again and presenting the artificial/fly a bit slower is the key to getting the fish to bite in the winter time. The fishing is excellent and so is the weather, take advantage of this and give me a call to set up your trip!
