Snook Time!

Capt. Armando Alejo
June 24, 2019
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Greeting A2 friends!

The summer season is here and so are the Snook and Tripletail. Over the past several charters we've found and landed many Triple tail and Snook! Our Triple tail have been out in huge numbers (Quantities I haven't seen in 10+ years).

I recently guided Jimmy (pic attached) and his family on their first Everglades adventure! We took a long hard run West and fished some areas I hadn't fished in 5 or more years....and it sure did pay off! Within minutes, Jimmy and his whole family brought Redfish, Trout and Snook to the boat, ALL on artificial! In short order to we limited on Trout, caught a good share of Redfish, then quickly decided we'd switch gears to Triple Tail and bigger trout!

In short oder we continued to add to our Trout bag, landed a few other Redfish and proceeded back East for some tripletail! I can't stress this enough, the TT's are out and GREAT numbers! With six folks on board, anyone who wanted a shot at a TT got one! Although the fish were not past the 18" mark on this trip, it was fun to see and hook so many in such a short period of time.

We closed the day seeking some bigger trout and had some to the boat in minutes, all in all Jimmy and his family had quite the bag of fish! I know a fish fry was planned for later that evening.

We now have a few spots open in July and August! If you'd like to get in on the Snook bite, reach out to us ASAP! Snook season opens September 1st

See you soon!

Capt A2.
