Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report
This past week we have not had the greatest weather, we had our first cold front and then winds of up to 35mph seem to be making things a bit tough. The cold front dispersed allot of the bait schools we had been targeting, those schools were loaded with Tarpon/Snook. These conditions are not Winter but Fall is gone.

I am fishing flamingo with the Demming family today, John, John and Cameron. In my conversation with Cameron I said I would take them but it was going to be a tough day. I explained, between the full moon, winds @25 mph plus and the cold front which had passed during the week it could be tough. We went out and gave it a good shot but it was slow, the best fish of the day was a 9 foot Sawfish.

I am fishing Flamingo today with great guys who I love fishing with. Bob just retuned from the Chicago/Wisconsin area and wanted to bend a rod. I said let's run way north and see if the fish are there. We tried to get going but found big schools of Ladyfish with Tarpon busting them up. We worked our way thru Whitewater Bay and caught a few fish. Charlie had a big Trout and a Snook, Bob got a Redfish. We had a Slam before we passed Midway Pass.
We found some pilchards and the made a long run looking for some line stretchers, our first spot wasn't to bad we got 3 or 4 Snook and another Redfish. The weather changed a bit and the bite stopped. We stuck it out waiting for the tide to fall out but it just didn't get low enough. I decided to change it up, we got into some bait schools that were shallow and had a few fish blow up. I noticed we were spooking fish so we power poled down. Bob started throwing his Rapala Skitter Walk and immediately got hit, he was getting hit on every cast . I rigged one up for Charlie and the bite was allot of fun. The Snook were knocking the lure out of the water, we put a few nice Snook in the boat as well as a nice Redfish. The bite stopped as the bait filtered into the creeks so we moved on. The tide was coming in and there was no bite so we called it a day.
