Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Things have slowed down quite a bit here in Fort Lauderdale and the YB Normal Sportfishing but that doesn't mean that the fishing isn't good, when the kids go back to school everyone in the charter fishing industry slows down quite a bit but like I said that doesn't mean that the fishing still isn't good, lately we have been doing quite a bit of night fishing and it has been very good lots of nice sized mangrove snappers as well as yellowtail and a few mutton snapper too. There has been a very strong current this week so we have had to result into shallow water to fish at night as shallow as 10 feet! Even though the water is shallow that doesn't mean that there are not big fish in there some of the mangrove snapper we have been catching have been as big as 5lbs. Most nights when conditions are good we are limiting out on snapper with 4 anglers thats 10 per person per day so a total of 40 snapper, as far as daytime fishing goes there has been a few wahoo and tuna around as well as plenty of bonito and mahi are very plentiful offshore but you need an all day charter to fish for them, we have been doing some bottom fishing in the daytime for rose fish, these fish are very small but they are probably one of the best eating fish that we catch, they live very deep and are orange in color but there is no size limit on them and they are quite easy to catch, we have some availability the next few weeks so if your looking for a deep sea fishing charter check us out either day or night whichever you prefer!!

If your in the Fort Lauderdale area and looking for a sport fishing charter check out the YB Normal
