Having a ball fishing with family

November 13th, 2011

Ok today's fishing story started about 17 years ago when this guy named Tim from Champion Illinois charter the Happy Day Today and I was the mate. He brought along his son Timmy and I had brought along my son Luis 4 years old at the time but believe it or not used to being out in the ocean fishing.
Well since than Tim has become more than a costumer hell more than a friend he is like family (God I hope he does not read this I'll never hear the end of it)
As it turns out Timmy had just landed a great job down in Miami at some exclusive golf curse and Tim had drove his son down to move into his new apartment.
So I told Tim that as a house-warming gift I would grab my son Luis and daughter Sam and him and his kid and we would spend a few hour fishing.
Needless to say we were in for a fun time as always.
We went right to kite fishing with 4 live baits suspended from the kites.
First bite turned out to be a little silky shark reeled in by Timmy. Ok skunk out of the box. Sam jumped on the second fish witch turned out to be a 6-foot hammerhead shark on a mono leader. How this shark did not bite through the leader is still a mystery but Luis grabbed the leader and ladies and gentlemen that is a catch.

Ok 2 down. Tim also reeled in next bite and this one was a great eating dolphin fish.
Than at last the bite we were waiting for a sailfish. Big Tim's turn and the fight was on.
Ok no big deal just another sailfish right? Well not so fast unbeknownst to me my son decided it was time for Sam to not only wire in this sailfish but he also had her grab it by the bill and slid him into the boat for a quick photo.

And folks that's a wrap.

What a ball thanks again to all my family for making just another fishing trip into memorable one.

Hi my name is Taco and I run one of the best charter fishing boats down here in South Florida. WHY? Because I’ve been fishing the waters down here since 1969 and I started at the bottom and worked my way up the ladder. I know what it is like to read a web site and than once you get to boat things are not as you thought they would be. Not here I say it like it is. No surprises. I’ve got a 45 foot Hatteras with a big cock pit. Fully aircondishened and refrigerated. Big comfortable platform.
