Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
As we pass the mid point of November the frontal systems begin to be a bit stronger now and actually have enough horsepower to push through the state with enough umph to actually lower our temperatures a bit. This is pleasant and we look forward to this time of year as in all truth we are pretty much over the summer, early fall heat. Hello this week to mid to upper 60 nights and mid 70 days. We like it, and so do many of the fish.
We continue to chip away at the Sailfish in the vicinity of the reefs located in 100 feet of water. No big numbers, and none expected, but we are watching for them every charter. Mostly single fish traveling alone, and of good size. Schoolie Kingfish around with an occasional larger one ( as pictured). We continue to see the Jacks (Greater Amberjack and Jack Crevalle) on mid range wrecks, but the Grouper have mostly backed off, but we continue to target them (also pictured). Mahi-Mahi and Wahoo continue to be very spotty at best. Bull Sharks moving onto the wrecks that hold the Jacks.
