Dania Beach for Snook

Capt. Mario Cote
July 15, 2013
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Snook fishing has been pretty good between Port Everglade Inlet and the Dania Pier. The snook can be in very shallow water and it's best to fish this area during the weekdays when there are less people at the beach. The snook are feeding on lots of small baits running through the area, so try to catch some pilchards and use a 3/0 to 4/0 circle hook. You should have no problem catching a snook.

Our last trip we fished the afternoon high tide and caught 3 and missed one. We took some quick pictures and release them unharmed!

Good luck out there,

Capt. Mario Cote
