Decent fishing this week off Ft. Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Heavy rain slowed us down Sunday and Monday on our fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale. Really heavy rain and lots of it as a low pressure area set upon us and literally hammered away at us non stop for essentially 48 hours. That system has moved up the eastern seaboard now and we are back to weather that is more to everybody's liking. Beautiful calm sea conditions in the mornings and catching has been pretty good. We continue to focus at areas just off and on the edges of the reef line in roughly 110 feet of water. Early morning on the inside edges of the reef line in water from 80 on into 65 or 70 feet has held fish as well as water temperatures in there early are not especially warm. The air temp now days is typically just above 90 mid afternoon and every day now, morning or afternoon, has at least some chance of rain. Nice Sailfish this morning for Don in our lead photo with this fishing report on our 53 footer with Capt Matt and 1st mate Matt (Matt 1 & Matt 2). Kingfish along those reef lines I mentioned and False Albacore (Bonito) in the same areas. Blackfins continue for the most part just off the edge, their typical sweet spot. Mahi-Mahi for us have been very iffy. Some nice snappers on structure. Please enjoy the pictures of recent anglers ( and also Matt 2 holding up that hoss Tuna) who have joined us here aboard our Marlin my Darlin boats for some deep sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale. Tight lines, see you on the rip.
