Tim Robinson and Tony "Scott" Jones from Mississippi chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As Tim and Tony boarded the boat, I asked them what type of fishing they were interested in. They responded – Sailfish!!!

On the way out we stopped at T&T Bait located in Fort Lauderdale at Port Everglades to purchase a dozen live Goggles Eyes. From there we headed out southeast of Fort Lauderdale – I stopped at 180 ft. of water, which is 2 miles off shore. The wind was blowing from the east at 15-20 miles an hour with sporty conditions. We put out two kites with two live Goggle Eyes from each kite while the anglers were waiting for the predator's arrival, enjoying their conversations and sipping on their drinks.

Right long!!! Chopped off, as the bait was cut in half – a predator with teeth – but no Sailfish. We reset and waited again for the predator. Forty-five minutes past and then he made his appearance. The black shadow appeared on the left short, dorsal and bill out of the water, frantically chasing the live Goggle Eye. Hooked up!!! Sailfish on!!! The Sailfish came out of the water and showed his gleaming neon colors, reflecting from the sun shinning down on him. Tony was the angler and he hopped into the fighting chair to have fun. After a twenty-five minute fight, Tony subdued the Sailfish, and Dave, our mate, wired the Sailfish to the boat – pictures were taken, the hook was removed and Sailfish was released to fight again. Congratulations to the angler and crew!!!

With happy anglers aboard the boat, it was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
