Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Deep sea fishing here in Ft. Lauderdale continues to please. We continue to catch fully grown Wahoos just off the edge of the outside reef in 150 to 200 feet of water. Pictured is another 50 plus pounder caught on, once again a small live "Bullet" Bonito, this one by Joel who lives in Delray Beach, Fl. His sidekick Mike landed a Sailfish about an hour earlier. Dolphin (Mai- Mai) and Kingfish rounded out the trip. Small schools of Mai-Mai continue to move thru our fishing area. They can be finicky but as of now they act as if they are starving, which makes our job a lot easier. Trolling is still producing but we are leaning more and more to live baiting as we get into our Fall / Winter season. We have a lot of bait in our Ft. Lauderdale fishing area right now and this is a plus and once again makes our job (no laughing please) a bit easier. We love what we do, this is all we do, as of now the weather is postcard perfect, and the deep sea fishing here in Ft. Lauderdale is producing some really nice fish.

Target Species:

Sailfish, Shark, Swordfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Tuna, Barracuda, Marlin
