Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Three generations of Korthals (Bob, Jack, Jake and little brother Lance) went deep sea fishing aboard the Happy Day Today in Ft. Lauderdale with Captain Zsak this past Monday (954-439-8106). Weather was good - the wind was out of the southeast 10-12 mph. The majority of the King Fish were caught on the two plainer rods (one with a pink seawitch and the other with a blue seawitch - both with bonita strips behind them) which basically puts the bait down about 30-35 ft deep.

We wound up catching 6 King Fish, 5 Bonitas, 2 Baracudas and one Mahi Mahi. Here is a picture of 4 year old Lance with the biggest fish he ever caught - a nice King Fish. Jake, his brother, is an experienced mate and had a great time working the cockpit with Mitch, the mate. Each of the Korthals caught King Fish, Bonitas and Mahi Mahi, and were all thrilled with their catch. A wonderful morning of fishing!!!
